Psalm 24:7-10

"Lift up your heads, O you gates;

be lifted up, you ANCIENT DOORS,

that the KING of GLORY may come in.

Who is this KING of GLORY?

The LORD strong and mighty,

the LORD mighty in battle.

Lift up your heads, O you gates;

lift them up, you ANCIENT DOORS,

that the KING of GLORY may come in.

Who is HE, this KING of GLORY?

The LORD Almighty-

HE is the KING of GLORY.

Joshua 1 Thought:

"Sometimes We Need to be Uncomfortable"

(Joshua 1:14) Everyone given land and the opportunity to rest in the land.  But GOD told the men of Reubenites, the Gabites and the half-tribe of Mannessah, they could not enjoy the land given to them until they help their brothers get settled.

This is amazing because in a sense they were called to be uncomfortable in order that their brothers and sisters may be comforted.  Is it uncomfortable in your walk with CHRIST?  Sometimes what GOD calls us to do will be uncomfortable.  HIM calling you to wake up a little earlier to pray, spend a little bit more time reading, serve here or serve there, sacrifice this or that, don't go here or go there, etc. will at times be uncomfortable.  As GOD was moving them into the promise land, HE was stretching them because where they were going some things could not go in with them.  Anytime we are being stretched, it will at times be uncomfortable.  But allow your comfort to be in the LORD, the promise that is ahead, and that in the process your discomfort is helping another brother or sister be comforted to get through.  HE is teaching us how to serve in a way we never served before.  It's an honor that HE trust you.  So be encouraged & grateful!  For HE said the greatest among us will serve (Matt 23:11).  HE is propelling you to greatness; and as HE told Joshua, HE tells you..."Be strong and courageous."
